The HAMA Europe Award is established to recognise the key role played by hotel asset management in sustainably growing asset value and driving underlying investment returns.
The award ceremony is an ideal forum to showcase your asset and asset management ability with Europe’s top hospitality asset managers.

How it works
Submission process
Applications are completed in a two-stage process with the final award presented at IHIF EMEA in March. Submissions are invited for single assets and portfolios located exclusively in Europe.
- First round submission - The initial submission will be a short narrative, set out in the form, including data as appropriate. You'll also be asked to send one or two pictures of the subject property/properties, ideally setting out before and after if there were construction works.
- Second round submission - The Award Committee will shortlist the submissions, inviting shortlisted candidates to complete a full application for judges to review. Final submission guidance shall be provided to those shortlisted candidates by the HAMA Europe Award Committee members.
Selection process
The judging panel review and vote on the shortlisted submissions to select a winner based on the following criteria:
- Assessment of overall strategy with clear goals
- Asset management actions that are clearly linked to strategy
- Directly attributable value enhancement with demonstrable results
- Amendment of strategy or asset management actions to improve results
- Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy, and actions
The Award Committee will invite the winner to prepare and present their case study at a dedicated panel session during IHIF EMEA in Berlin, where the winner will be publicly announced.

Congratulations to the HAMA Award Winner of 2025
The highly anticipated HAMA Award was presented on Tuesday 1 April 2025 by IHIF EMEA and the Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA) Europe and co-sponsored by Questex Hospitality and HotStats.
The winner of this year’s prestigious HAMA Europe Asset Management Achievement Award was Pygmalion Capital for their work on Project Arno, a transformative strategy that more than doubled profits across two Hilton hotels in Florence through smart restructuring, creative cost control, and operational excellence.
Their approach turned post-pandemic challenges into opportunity, showcasing how thoughtful asset management can unlock value and deliver lasting impact.
