Bio:
Luciano Scarfone is an accomplished Investment Director with over 10 years of experience in the hospitality sector, spanning operations, development, and real estate. Since April 2025, he has been Investment Director at Pygmalion Capital — a private equity firm specialising in European hospitality investments — where he is responsible for Southern Europe.
Previously, he served as Hotel Real Estate Senior Associate at a US-based investment management firm (USD 20.2 bn AUM), where he sourced, analysed, and executed a diverse range of hotel and loan investments — from economy to luxury — across Europe.
Since 2018, Luciano has been driving portfolio growth and operational efficiency through strategic investments, leveraging his expertise in financial modelling, market analysis, and negotiation. He leads end-to-end processes including sourcing, due diligence, operator searches, lease negotiations, asset dispositions, and asset management activities.
Graduated in Tourism Economics and Management from the University of Bologna, Luciano has studied and lived in three countries, gaining international experience and proficiency in Spanish (advanced) in addition to his native Italian. His global exposure has equipped him with strong cross-cultural competencies, enabling him to navigate complex, diverse business environments effectively.
