Giovanni Niederhäusern

Bio:

The fusion of innovation, design and architecture has always been the leitmotiv accompanying Giovanni de Niederhäusern from his degree in engineering and architecture in 2008 to his important professional experiences (MIT Senseable City Lab as Research Affiliate, 2009 and Carlo Ratti Associati, as designer and PM and then as CEO in 2017). The same leitmotiv led him to his current position as Senior Vice President of Architecture at Pininfarina in 2019 (and of Product Design too in 2024). His research work and proximity to academic institutions as a lecturer and speaker allow him to lead his team to be at the forefront of architectural innovation. With an entrepreneurial approach sharpened by his experience in international project management and an MBA in 2014, he is leading the Architecture division with the aim of expanding the company's activities, reinterpreting its philosophy and proposing a new perspective that identifies impact in the combination of beauty and technology.
